Online Professional Development Resources for Educators
There are a number of online professional development opportunities available to early childhood educators and coaches. Here are our team’s recommendations. Please see below for descriptions and links:
The State Department of Education has an online learning site called CECO Online. There are tons of modules that teachers can choose from and complete for professional growth hours. Most modules are in English, but some are in Spanish.
These online resources provide self-paced, interactive learning that connects professional knowledge to daily practice through practical strategies that bolster best instructional approaches. You need to be an NAEYC member to access this resource.
This series of online training courses supports implementation of the Strengthening Families™ Protective Factors Framework in multiple settings. It is recognized by the State of California and will meet OECE requirements.
This website contains a series of 15-minute professional development modules. The site contains DLL-specific content focused on systems supports, enhancing interactions, and assessment.
Harvard University’s website on the science of early childhood development includes wonderful podcasts and videos that focus on brain development, mental health, and toxic stress. Users can search resources by media types, topics, and languages. It has resources in many translated languages.
This website has a robust resource page with webinars, info sheets, and more. It’s great for learning about the CLASS.
